Stop the planned White House Asphalt Facility

Write a public comment to TDEC urging them to reject the proposed asphalt plant in White House and insist that they hold a public hearing.

  • Volunteer Materials is seeking approval to construct an asphalt production facility just outside downtown White House, in close proximity to multiple schools.

  • Unlike the other industrial projects in White House, this asphalt manufacturing plant could bring strong odors and emissions that could have a major negative affect on surrounding neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.

  • Asphalt plants also create Hazardous Air Pollutants and fumes that include proven carcinogens such as Polycyclic Aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Exposing nearby schools to these fumes could be catastrophic.

Please, write in to TDEC a public comment below urging them to deny the White House asphalt permit and schedule a public hearing so our voices can be heard.
